What's happening in the world?

What if the medical profession decided that birth was 'natural' and more women just had to suck it up and cope with the pain? Doctors and midwives KNOW that the use of medical pain relief ... unless used to administer a medical procedure ... is to help women cope with the 'naturally' occurring pain.

What if the medical profession decided that reducing the cost of obstetrical care could be accomplished by not administering pain relief? Maybe that's far fetched but the world is in a BIG change right now. The projection by scientists is that by 2012, a boat will be able to sail through the ice on the north pole ... it's gone ... it's melted!

We're facing a dire future and we'd better have some sense of preparation for change.

What better way to change than having a families at least know how to prepare their pregnant body to let a big object out, learn the skills to work with the intense sensations as this big object (your baby) opens your body and then use the skills to work with your baby's efforts to come out of your body with as little trauma to either of you?

Let's get real and bring this new childbirth approach to our societal expectations.
